This story tent was made to tell their stories by a group of refugee children living in Reading. Each panel was created to represent as aspect of the children's lives, such as their love of football. It brings together a wealth of resources for exploring refugee issues at KS2&3. As a traditional shelter, it is also a perfect environment for learning about cultures and stories from around the world. It is tactile, and can become an additional sensory room, where light, music and action can be used to tell stories. It includes a range of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and teaching packs, including an activity exploring similarities in the lives of refugee and other children.
Please note the tent is hired out by the week: Saturday to Friday except by arrangement.
